Course Description:

Optimally managing peripheral nerve injuries requires the integration and comprehensive understanding of the co-existing and two-way relationship between the mechanics and physiology of the nervous system, movement, and musculoskeletal function.

Neurodynamic Solutions (NDS) is a comprehensive system aimed at evaluating and managing peripheral nerve injuries and the neurodynamic component of musculoskeletal syndromes, but it does not enter the realm of assessing or restoring postural stabilization, motor control or locomotor function.

DNS is a comprehensive system of evaluating and restoring optimal musculoskeletal function, but it does not delve into or provide a system for evaluating and managing peripheral nerve injuries or the neurodynamic component related to musculoskeletal syndromes. Therefore, this course aims to integrate exercise into the system of Neurodynamic Solutions.

Through a blend of lecture and lab, Q&A, and small-group learning, participants will leave this course with a keen understanding of exercise-based applications for common peripheral nerve injuries.

Course objectives:

Anatomy, biomechanics, pathomechanics, and pathophysiology of the aforementioned clinical conditions.

Evidence-based evaluation and diagnosis.

Integrate the NDS system of diagnosis and treatment progressions for the mechanical interface, nerve, and innervated tissue with exercise-based applications for common clinical conditions.
