Course Content

Application of Assessment and Therapy Based on the DNS Concept in the Treatment of Patients with Neurological Diagnoses

Fundamental Specifics of Issues Associated with Neurological Diseases of Vascular Origin (e.g., stroke), Demyelinating Diseases (e.g., multiple sclerosis), Spinal Cord Lesions, and Diseases of the Peripheral Nervous System (e.g., peripheral paresis)

Neurological Patient Assessment – selection and integration of functional tests according to DNS principles, use of developmental kinesiology knowledge in movement analysis, basic principles of locomotion, and use of specific tests to identify functional limitations in patients with neurological deficits

Therapy – demonstrations of using developmental kinesiology positions for correcting global movement patterns; selecting exercises appropriately aligned with therapeutic goals, targeting key segments and predominant symptoms of neurological diagnoses

Patient Case Studies involving neurological diagnoses

Video Analysis – identifying key "weak" areas through analysis of global patterns and movement; proposing therapy using developmental positions, integrating other techniques or concepts used in neurological rehabilitation
